You know the man became an ANBU Captain at age 13, passed the Chuunin exam at age 10, mastered the sharingan at age 8, and graduated from the top of his class at age 7. Yes, all of this he’s done, and Konoha remembers him for a life served well. His personality may have been skewed surrounded by war, but he loved his village dearly in it’s time of peace. Itachi is remembered in very different ways by many different people. One side, teen caught in the psychological aftermath of war, another caring big brother image torn asunder, largely known slayer of his clan. Was he not a man of much integrity and courage, graceful as a slender-stalked plant? There are some who become shadows of themselves. If it’s possible, Itachi was born from the very day as a shadow of a happier time. Happy Birthday, Itachi.

“We are humans, not fish. We don’t know what kind of people we truly are until the moment before our deaths. As death comes to embrace you, you will realise what you are. That’s what death is, don’t you think?”
